2010 hungry ghost month at Jln Tukang Besi.

Here comes hungry ghost month offering by the street of the Zheng He Tea House (Jalan Tukang Besi).

Hungry Ghost Month is the month that all Taoism and Buddhist believed that this is the one month holiday for all hungry ghost from the hell. 

    So Chinese who believed in this legend will do the offering by cooking the good dishes and burn lots of printed hell money and incense to the good bros (ghost) for hoping that they won't come to interrupt their life in this world. Beside that they also believed that after offering, the good bros will bring luck to them and help them to get prosperous in their business so do I. 

  

One of the chosen man choose on last year which they call him as "Lo Zhu" will offer the Karaoke or in the old time they will offer the movie, puppet show or the opera performance shown to the good bros. In the front of the stage they will arrange a row of site but not for us but for the good  bros. So whenever you see a roadside performance never sit in the front row, but only in this month. 

 

So when the good bros are everywhere within this month, there must be a guardian around to look after them.   His name is the King of Ghost "Gui Wang" (we were told that he was transformed by the Goddess of Mercy).

Two more days, there will be the end of the Hungry Ghost Month. Hope I am still doing my business in the same street so to celebrate my forth Hungry ghost month.
